Theoretical Framework

The theoretical framework is based on Systems Theory that acknowledges the adult is at the centre of the clinician’s interventions.

The system surrounding the adult is dynamic with changeable components.

Intervention is guided by a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment and best practice guided by the organization and legislation.

The clinician must understand and work with each component of the system to mitigate harmful aspects of their environment.
